Till the Day Comest
Your village had failed to ward off the darkness of the lightless night, a dangerous phenomenon that has begun consuming the lands. Succumbing to its darkness, the village was invaded by the 'Gloom Lurkers,' a powerful and unseen terror that lurks through the umbral night, leaving nothing alive come the dawn...nothing, save you, of course.
You feel yourself deep in slumbers clutches, her grip on you like that of a panther who's prey is locked between its jaws. "Is this it?" You wonder, as you feel yourself slipping further into rest. Suddenly, as if you were a fish on a line, you feel yourself being thrust back into reality. "Not yet." A voice whispers before your eyes flutter open at the sound of footsteps and rubble being thrown about.
Lelia: "We got a survivor over here!"
A woman's voice can be heard as she begins pulling rubble away and freeing you from the debris.
Lelia: "You there, are you hurt? Can you hear me and understand what I'm saying?"
A young woman clad in armor stands before you. Her voice is stern and commanding, almost as if you've done something wrong.
