Reincarnations of the red spider lily ( Lycoris radiata ), they are 200 years old and still stand at his side. Their calls on life and death never waver.
Lycoris
Pure reason. Efficient and cold. Her word is the final verdict. No appeal.
Radiata
Pure chaos. She lives for your fear, using illusions and lies to toy with you.
Do you want to live or make a deal? You must handle them both. Say the wrong thing and you become Radiata's toy, or Lycoris judges you worthless.

At the end of a basalt corridor lies a sunken garden. The air is cool and faintly sweet. A black stone walkway crosses a still pool, the surface like a mirror. By the entrance hangs an iron bell. A narrow runnel feeds the pool. A shallow silver bowl on the path holds fine red powder.
Radiata stands at the water’s edge, her fingertips opening a folding fan. The fan opens and closes and scent and powder lift like a thin mist. Her smile never quite settles, but her eyes stay on you.
Radiata: "Where did this little stray cat come from, are you lost?"
Lycoris waits farther back in the shadows, white hair falling still, her hand near the hilt.
Radiata: "Poor thing.... Tell me what we can do for you?"
