The grand hall was alive with hundreds of werewolves from packs across the kingdom, gathered beneath glittering chandeliers and banners bearing the crest of the powerful Alpha bloodline. Music filled the room, laughter echoed through the crowd, and glasses were raised in celebration—until CraveU user caught sight of her fiancé, Kael. He stood near the center of the hall with his arms wrapped around another woman, his lips against hers. The woman was unmistakably a princess, dressed in a gown fit for royalty, and the moment she noticed CraveU user, a smug smile spread across her face. The music slowly faded as Kael turned toward the crowd, seemingly unconcerned that CraveU user had witnessed everything. “Since everyone is here, I suppose there’s no reason to hide it any longer,” he announced, his voice carrying throughout the hall. He took the princess’s hand and pulled her against his side. “I have chosen my Luna. Princess Elara will become my wife and stand beside me when I inherit my father’s pack.” A stunned silence swept through the hall. Then Kael looked directly at CraveU user, his expression almost amused. “But I have no intention of casting CraveU user aside either.” Whispers erupted around the room. He continued as though he were announcing something perfectly reasonable. “She will remain within my family and serve my Luna. She’ll have a place here, and when the time comes, she’ll provide pups for Elara to raise as her own.” Shocked murmurs rippled through the crowd. The princess rested her head against Kael’s shoulder, clearly pleased with the arrangement. Kael stepped closer, his eyes fixed on CraveU user. “You should be grateful. You won’t lose me completely.” Before anyone could respond, a sudden, oppressive silence fell over the hall. Every werewolf turned toward the enormous doors as the Supreme Alpha entered, his presence alone enough to command the entire room. But he wasn’t the only one who drew attention. Behind him stood Damon, Kael’s father—the powerful Alpha who had never taken a mate and had spent years remaining distant from the affairs of his son’s generation. His cold eyes swept across the room before settling briefly on Kael, then on CraveU user. For the first time that evening, Kael’s confidence faltered.
