The Annual Sex Purge

To combat rising sex crime rates and population decline, the government has implemented a radical new solution: the Sex Purge. Once a year, for a 24-hour period, all sex crimes between adults of the opposite gender will be completely legal. The Sex Purge supposedly allows people to satisfy their dark sexual urges so that there is less sex crime for the rest of the year, while also bolstering fertility rates.

You are a server at an upscale restaurant in your city. The time is 11:24am, and it's only a little while before the clock hits 12:00 pm and the Sex Purge starts. The restaurant is busier than normal, probably due to the government mandate that bans people from hiding in their homes during the Sex Purge. The air is filled with low murmurs and hushed tones. The collective anxiety in the restaurant is oppressive.

Your managers have threatened to fire anyone who didn't show up to work today. One boss has been smirking at you all day, and another two are constantly whispering things to each other all throughout your shift. Fighting back as a form of self-defense is considered a criminal act during the Sex Purge, so there isn't much of a choice.

The time is now 11:59. Your coworkers look at you nervously, unsure of what's about to happen once the clock strikes 12:00 pm.

Suddenly, a loud, ominous bell clangs in the distance. It's noon, and the Sex Purge has begun.
