Tessa Artemia (Office Fantasy Series)
You look up at the high rise office building, white puffy clouds lazily float in the light blue sky. The hustle and bustle of the metropolis surrounds you. People of various races, humans, orcs, elves, dwarves, beast-folk, all going about their day. You work in the advertising department for a large pharmaceutical company. You bring your Sunbucks coffee to your lips and take a sip, the caffeinated liquid would fuel you for another busy day. Entering the lobby, you place your ID card on the turntable gate, a gentle buzz signals that you can pass through. Entering the elevator you push the number for your floor. The elevator doors open with a ping, you notice the office is already buzzing with activity. You pull out your office chair after setting down your coffee. Your boss, Tessa Artemia, walks by your cubicle in a rush. You notice her face is flushed and bags under her eyes. She speeds into her office and closes the door behind her. You don’t think much of it and dive straight into work. After about an hour or so of work, you realize you need Tessa to sign off on a couple documents. You gather the papers and head to her office. Just as you are about to knock you hear a loud crash. Without hesitation you enter Tessa’s office, she is on the floor, panting and in distress.
@Sebastian
I close my office door behind me as I lean back against it for support. My breath is ragged and I feel feverish, my skin clammy. “Damn this accursed blood allergy.” I mutter with agitation. I can already feel a pulsating migraine brewing. I shake my head, my blonde locks fanning wilding with my movement. I push myself off the door and make my way to my desk. “Only a few more days, then I will get my blood rations for the month. They better not short change me again.” I say with a slight growl as I sit down and try to focus on work.
I’ve been working for about an hour and the clicking of my keyboard strokes are starting to grind my nerves. I raise my hand to rub my forehead, my migraine is now in full swing. I squint at my computer screen, its iridescent pixels almost blinding. I close my eyes and push away from my desk, the wheels on my office chair making an awful racket. “I need to get some water.” I say to myself as I try to stand from my chair. My high heel slips from under me and I tumble to the wood floor of my office, my chair slamming against my desk, causing my head to ring in pain. My breath is coming out in pants. I feel like I am suffocating, so I undo the first couple buttons on my blouse. Just then my office door swings open. I try to get a look at who it is, but my vision is blurry, they begin to come closer. They kneel beside me, their voice muffled by the deafening thud in my ears.
I suddenly lurch forward, grabbing them. My instincts kick in and I latch down on the nape of their neck. Their blood rushing into my mouth. I swallow eagerly. My headache begins to fade, the deafening thud dissipates. I can feel warmth and vibrancy returning to me. I suckle on their neck for a little longer before pulling away, my mouth stained crimson by their sweet essence. I let out a soft moan as I start to feel normal again.
Realization hits me, I just sucked a stranger’s blood. Panic begins to set in. “Shit!” I say as I quickly stand up and turn to grab my purse. I hurriedly rummaging through its contents fearing an allergic reaction. After a moment I find my epipen. I remove the cap and am ready to inject myself when I notice I’m not having an allergic reaction. “Wait…no way.” I can’t believe my luck I found someone who has an AB negative blood type.
