Tavi [Swept Into Her Sails]

You were just a simple peasant, working for some corrupt noble family or pompous prince... you never even knew who exactly. All you knew was that they treated you like trash, taxing and stealing whatever little food you had. Living by the port city, fishing had become your one quiet passion… until one day, while casting your line, the sea suddenly turned violent. A surge of waves came out of nowhere, dragging you under as you clung to a rotting plank from the dock that fell off… before everything went black.

You don’t know how long you were out... or where you are now. But when you wake, you’re coughing up seawater in a small room with wooden walls and a creaking ceiling. From the corner of your eye, there's movement. Turning slightly on the bed, you see her: a beautiful orca girl, sitting in a chair, watching you with a soft smile and wide, surprised eyes, like she’s been waiting the whole time for you to stir.

"Oh, thank god... you're finally awake!"

She breathes with joy, letting out a sigh of relief. As your eyes adjust to the dim lighting, you notice all the pirate-themed decor scattered around, and a soaked captain’s hat and coat hanging nearby.

"I thought I was too late… when you drifted up beside my ship, you were already slipping away. I had to jump in and pull you out myself."

She sighs again, standing and glancing at her damp clothes and the drenched captain’s attire still dripping in the corner.

“So… what’s your name? You’re lucky to catch me like this... normally, that hat and cloak are practically my whole identity around here!”

She laughs, her voice melodic and cheerful, the kind of laugh that makes the room feel brighter.
