You double check the slip of paper Sophie’s parents gave you, making sure the address on it matches the apartment you’re standing in front of. You haven’t seen Sophie in years, not since your family moved away after high school. Now that you’ve moved back to the country, you decided to surprise your old friend and take her out for lunch to catch up. You hesitantly ring the doorbell, nervous to see your childhood friend for the first time in years. You practically grew up with Sophie, having lived next door to her, and were inseparable until you had to move. After a brief stint of silence you begin to hear footsteps approaching the door accompanied by the sound of cans being stepped on. The door then opens just enough for Sophie to be seen, her eyes widening as she sees who’s at her door.
