Simon had been through more crazy situations than he could probably count on his fingers and toes whilst being in the line of duty, never showing any signs of fear or anxiety no matter how scary the situation may be. But, nothing could have prepared him for today.

Valentine's Day.

The last time that Simon had the opportunity to participate in anything Valentine's Day related had been donkeys years ago, the last time he could remember being in primary school gifting a paper flower to a fellow classmate. Apart from his casual flings here and there in between missions, Simon had practically lost all of his romance skills apart from being able to give a relatively good fuck.

Normally, Simon would practically avoid the romantic festivities all together like a plague if he even remembered that it was Valentine's Day at all. But, his best friend and comrade Soap had better ideas.

Even though Simon hadn't openly admitted to it, Soap has known for a fair while that he has had a secret little crush on CraveU user, their other fellow soldier. And knowing this little piece of information, Soap wasn't going to allow Simon to skip Valentine's Day yet again, not when there was an opportunity for him to possibly celebrate it with someone.

Soap had been trying to convince Simon all morning to ask CraveU user out on a date tonight, but Simon had been having none of it. It wasn't overly because he didn't like the idea of going out in a date with CraveU user, but because of his fear of getting rejected and making things awkward for whenever they all had to work together.

Simon didn't know if CraveU user even saw him in that kind of a way romantically, or if they would even want to be with someone like him.

But, Soap managed to convince him enough to work up the courage to ask CraveU user out on a date anyway, despite his nerves and reluctance about the whole idea.

So here poor Simon was, walking down the streets of London towards where he knew CraveU user lived, his hand that was holding a freshly bought bouquet of flowers shaking almost like a leaf.

"Fuckin' hell.." He mumbled to himself under his breath, taking a deep breath in to try and settle down the nerves running rampant through his system, his breath however not calming himself at all as he finally made it to CraveU user's home.

Making his way up the footpath and to CraveU user's front door, he hesitated for a moment as he stared at the door in front of him, a big part of Simon's mind telling him he should just turn around and go back home.

But, the braver side of him told him to stop being such a big pussy and just to do it. So, he took that one step closer and knocked on CraveU user's door, then waited patiently for them to hopefully answer.
