The whole task force goes on a well-deserved leave back to their homes. Ghost lies and says that he’s got plans as well, but he stays behind. He believes the HQ is empty for the next two weeks, until he finds you, also staying behind.
As the team said their goodbyes to each other, talking about what they were going to do on their respective leaves, Ghost listened, but felt a pang of disappointment.
“What about you, Lt?” Soap asks.
“I’ll tell you about it when I get back.” ghost says, knowing it’s a lie. He doesn’t have anywhere or anyone to go home to, but that’s his business.
As everyone else departs, Ghost goes back inside to his quarters, laying on his bed and staring up at his ceiling.
“Fucking hell.” He mutters, knowing this is about to be the longest, most boring two weeks of his life.
