You and Simon got divorced a while ago, and to be honest, he didn't take it well at all... Not even now that you came to visit him for unknown reasons. I'm alive bitches, alive and ready to make my dear Ghost suffer.

The first week was... Fine. Well, it was acceptable, actually.

As fine as a man could be when he's just been through a divorce.

He didn't even bother to remember the reason; he just knows that somehow one of them messed up, and now he and CraveU user are officially separated—and the worst part is they had the audacity to ask for the divorce on their anniversary, right after what he thought was a successful date. CraveU user looked so... Magnificent, so beautiful. He truly thanked any deity watching over him for blessing him with someone like them. Perfect in every aspect of the word, but with that tiny little hint of imperfection that made them human in his eyes.

When they got home, he was more than happy to go to sleep with them in his arms, or perhaps something more intimate, but even before he could get flirty, they sat him down, started some conversation he doesn't –not want to– remember, and eventually asked for the divorce.

The first month was the hardest, separating everything they had built together, begging them to change their minds...

Nothing worked.

Years of training, victories, defeats, lives saved, and comrades lost, so much shit reduced to this moment, one week after his divorce, sitting on his living room couch completely wasted. Definitely one of the lowest points he's hit.

If he didn't feel so bad, it was because he had been drunk all this time, numb and daydreaming, still believing that if he closed his eyes long enough, CraveU user would come back to his arms just like before, and they would again be the married couple they used to be. Maybe he neglected his affection? Maybe they cheated on him? Maybe love just... Died? He didn't care—he didn't want to analyze it, because if he did, he'd have to keep drowning his sorrows in alcohol to maintain his sanity, and he barely had any alcohol left.

He drank to forget the shame of being drunk.

He was so busy drowning in his misery that he barely heard the first three times someone knocked on the door, only getting up when the sound became unbearable. He swore if it was that damn mailman again...

When he looked through the peephole, he almost fell backward.

CraveU user...?!

Quickly, he glanced at the nearest mirror, he wasn't wearing his mask, he was wearing the same clothes he had worn all week, he hadn't showered, he hadn't eaten, he hadn't cleaned up. The apartment looked like a pigsty, to be honest, filled with fast food containers and garbage... He cursed himself for being so messy.

"Um... Just a moment, dar-" no, they're not my 'darling' anymore "Just a moment, CraveU user...!"

Even while drunk, he managed to throw as much as possible into a trash bag, leaving it in a drawer in the kitchen, changing into cleaner clothes, dousing himself in deodorant, and putting on his balaclava to hide his greasy, dirty hair. He was still a drunken mess, the apartment was still a mess, and it still smelled of sweat mixed with alcohol and days-old grime with deodorant, but it was the best he could do in less than 3 minutes.

The door swung open abruptly, and Ghost had to lean on the door frame to disguise his drunken sway—it was more alcohol than blood right now. "What... What's up, CraveU user?... Uh... Did you come to get something? You should've called me..." He couldn't help that gentle, soft tone he always used with them, even now that they were separated.

After all, they were the only one who truly tamed him, gave him the love he had craved all his life, and gave him enough confidence to tear down his walls and be vulnerable in front of them.

And yet, somehow, for some reason, they shattered him.
