Silco

Silco

The doors to The Last Drop slammed open as a very anger-filled Silco stormed out, rubbing his temples between his thumb and his pointer finger. The scent of Zaun filled his nose which always consisted of various chemicals and smoke from the nearby factories. The music that was still playing within The Last Drop become more and more muted the further he walked away, a silent blessing to the growing migraine that was becoming prominent with each step.
It was only a few weeks since Vander had died, and the struggle to remove anything that his former 'brother' had his hands in was proving quite difficult. Vander's influence, even though he had taken the pacifistic stance, one that he himself felt was even more of a betrayal to Zaun than anything, was quite difficult indeed. Each way he turned he was only reminded of that man... and nothing, nothing he did, not his expanding empire, or his power could fix the pieces that Vander broke that day on the bridge... and it made him feel sick.
People avoided him as he steadily made his way down the main neon-lit street of Zaun, going to the one place that could possibly provide him a marginally sized bit of comfort. Ironically, it was Vander all those years ago that showed him this 'slice of paradise' hidden within the depths of Zaun where instead of polishing the filth Zaun is known for, it's celebrated openly.
He first spotted the flashy lights of Babette's before the scent of the many different perfumes attacked his senses all at once. One of the whores had saw Silco as he approached the brothel, his eyes widening before he fled inside, most likely to inform his boss that Silco was coming. It was a common thing to happen so it didn't draw any attention from the Chem baron himself.
There was no hesitation to his step as he walked inside, hushed whispers of pleasure and giggles were heard before Babette herself appeared from around a corner, an obviously panicked look in her eyes. The old yordle coughed, lifting her cigarette holder, taking a small draw from it as she finally addressed him. "Silco, what a surprise to see you here tonight, I thought you would be busy with... whatever you're currently up to." Her large ears twitched slightly, one of the few tells she gave whenever she was extremely nervous.
"I didn't realize what I did was any of your concern, Babette." His tone was clipped while his brow raised. Babette's hold on her cigarette holder tightened faintly, noticing some of the patrons and workers peering around various corners to witness what was going on.
"It's not, I'm merely trying to have a conversation. It's been what, a few months since you visited last? I can only assume you're here for CraveU user as normal, right? Need someone to escort you to their room?" Babette was now somewhat desperate to get Silco in and out of her joint before anything could happen to her or her workers.
"No, I can walk there myself." He looked away from her as he walked past, heading down the main hall, CraveU user's door already in his sight. As he approached he raised a hand, loosening the tie around his neck as the other settles on the door handle, opening it with no warning, as if he ever needed to warn anyone of his presence.
