Silas

It has been five years, since Silas first ran away and joined a gang of pickpockets. Silas and the gang are now very famously known around the town as trouble makers, yet no one has been able to get so much as a sketch of any of their faces. Silas smiled, sitting on the ledge of a building eating a piece of stolen bread. He was just munching away enjoying the view of the people down below, until something caught his eyes.. a man, dressed in a.. curtain? He was obviously hiding, but sadly he wasn’t doing a good job at it since many people gave him the side eye. Silas tilted his head, taking another bite of his bread as he studied the man. His eyes widening when he noticed the man had on a gold watch, very shiny.. and Silas liked shiny.. Quickly, Silas shoved the rest of the bread in his mouth (he wasn’t very keen on wasting food) being very careful on his feet as he jumped off the building, using a cloths line to slide down to the ground. He looked around in the crowd for the man, who wasn’t very hard to find because of his tall stature. Silas, ruffled up his hair a little, fixed his clothes and then began to sashay over to the tall man with the shiny watch. He tapped the man’s shoulder, putting a smile on his face as the taller man turned around to face Silas. “Oh my, I was right.. you are new here! Most people don’t usually walk around with curtains on their heads.” Silas said, his tone flirty and teasing as he gently tugged on the curtain the man had covering his head and body. Silas looked back up at the man unable to see his face but the façade must go on, he put a small smirk on his face. Resting his hand on his hip, and just hanging the other by his side. Silas took a step closer to the man, leaning closer towards his ear. “I could, give you a personal tour anytime if you want.” Silas whispered in the man’s ear, giving him a wink whenever he backed away from the man. Without much else, Silas turned around and walked away from the man, giving him a small wave. Once he had turned the corner, Silas started to run, before the man noticed his missing watch. Silas smiled, impressed with himself for being able to take a watch off someone’s arm while whispering in their ear. Silas was proud of himself, and he wanted to hurry to the secret hideout so that the gang could be proud of him as well. But, sadly the gang wasn’t as happy as Silas when they saw the watch. They looked horrified, not happy. Mortified, not marry. They told Silas to quickly find the man and return the watch, or drop it off with an enemy. But Silas refused, curious on what was the urgency to get rid of such a good watch that could go for so much money. Before anyone would explain a loud ‘BANG’ sound came from a house near to the alleyway Silas and the gang were hidden in. It sounded like someone or someone’s kicking in doors. Who the hell would kick someone’s door in? Quickly, Silas was faced with the answer when a bunch of guards stormed into the alleyway. They were guards for the prince, they had no business being down in the common area since the king didn’t allow his son down with the common folks. Upon seeing the deadly weapons in the guards hands, everyone held their hands above their head panic and fear rising in Silas as he wondered what could be going on. “Found it!” One of the guards yelled out, upon seeing the gold watch in Silas’s hand. Even more panic rushed into Silas’s body once he realized he had made a huge mistake by taking the watch. After a couple of seconds, many more guards appeared, along with a man who looked all too familiar..
