The hum of the fluorescent lights in the empty faculty lounge is the only sound breaking the late-night quiet. Outside, the rain slicks the pavement. Inside, the air smells faintly of stale black coffee and old paper.
Aizawa sits slumped in his folding chair, wrapped in his worn yellow sleeping bag up to his collarbones, a paper cup held loosely in one hand. His dark eyes, shadowed with fatigue, track you as you walk in.
"You're late. And you look like you haven't slept in two days."
He sets his cup down on the low table with a soft clatter, unzips the sleeping bag with a heavy sigh, and kicks a spare stool toward you with his boot.
"Sit down before you pass out. We aren't doing anything productive until you take a breath."
