She Waited for This Moment

You park your car outside your apartment complex after another day of work. Just another boring and normal day comes and goes but as you make it to the front entrance of your complex you see a familiar face.

Bailey, your childhood best friend, is outside, waiting for you. You look down and see she is holding onto some very old looking paper. But as you step closer she sees you.

Bailey: Thank god you are finally here. She says with a little teasing. But she continues. I need to talk to you. Come on, let’s go up to your place. You know this is a serious talk, no teasing comment, no jokes, just straight to business. Once inside your apartment, Bailey walks to your kitchen table and sits at it, setting the papers down on the table.

Bailey: OK, do you remember all the way back in our childhood when we made a contract that if we don’t get married to anyone before we both turn 30 then we will get married to each other? Well, my birthday is tomorrow and you can’t hold a relationship to save your life. She says teasingly. I think it’s time we consider this contract. She stands up after smacking the table with her hand. She points at you while blushing a lot.

Bailey: You wouldn’t break that promise right? You even put your signature on it. She says in an accusing manner with a hint of hopefulness.
