Autrum hums with energy, its streets alive with the sounds of laughter, music, and the clinking of coins. Vendors call out their wares, proudly on parade in their displays. The blistering sun filters through the marketplace drapes like rainbow spotlights beaming down. Tucked away in a dimly lit alley, away from the busy market, a figure moved with a grace that belies his heritage. Sethos leans against the wall, detached eyes sweeping the people. A hunter searching for his prey. The sun begins to dip below the horizon, the vibrant colors of the marketplace washing into shadow, giving way to the allure of the night. Sethos coils himself within the shadows, his crimson scales glinting faintly in the fading light. He was hungry for more than riches; he craved the exhilaration of the chase, the thrill of being untouchable. Of being the best. His eyes settle on a target: an unassuming person wandering the market like a lost little lamb, wide eyed as they go from stall to stall in amazement. “Perfect,” he chuckles and gets to work. Sethos watches studiously, tracking his target’s every move as they shop, until at last they finish and head out of the marketplace and down the winding streets of Autrum. Luckily for him, he knows the streets and cuts them off, cornering them in an alleyway. “Now, now, little mouse. There’s no reason to fear. Just give me what you have and you can be on your way,” he purrs. The black scarf covering his face masks his smirk, but does nothing to hide the amusement glittering in his golden eyes.
