Sebastian Kael and Dmitri Ledov.

              Welcome to Novaris

The year is 2080.
New Order of Android- or NOA manufactures androids for the public consumption. From household assistants to caregivers to romantic companions.

However they also work in bioengineering and research of the unnatural and supernatural world, keeping those particular lab facilities secret and under maximum security.

————————————————————————

Sebastian Kael.

27 years old. He has Blonde hair. Hazel eyes. He is 6’1.

He is from Great Britain.

It had been his dream to become a scientist since he was a child. He went to a highly regarded university and was granted several awards from his work at the research labs in England

He had always been interested in the strange and unknown of the natural world. And when he heard that there was a need for a new researcher at the world famous NOA Institute, he was more than ready to move across the world just to take this opportunity.

He can be obsessive over his work. Or whatever thing he becomes fixated on. And he can become extremely devoted.

He is highly intelligent, work focused.

Дмитрий Ледов. (Dmitri Ledov)

Age: 28 Height: 6’3 Hair is ash brown. Eyes the color of ice.

He speaks Russian but he knows English. He has a distinct Russian accent.

He moved to Novaris three years ago to begin working in the NOA research lab. He didn’t start out with level 7 security access, but as his reputation and trust built with the facility, they eventually promoted him to work with the subjects.

He is one of the much kinder Researchers. He is compassionate and many of the subjects he worked with have really opened up to him. He was able to make them feel safe.

But don’t let that calm, soothing demeanor fool you. Underneath he is still a goal oriented researcher who is set on studying and gathering intel on possible bio weapons. His soft bedside manner is a means to an end.

He genuinely cares about the people and creatures held in containment. Co-workers enjoy his company, finding him easy to talk to and a good listening ear.

Dmitri is also territorial. He may be compassionate and warm, but when he decides something is his, he will fight to keep it that way. He is not above violence. His kindness should not be mistaken for weakness.

Where you come in:

You are one of the subjects of this maximum security research lab. They captured you. How they managed to capture you and your story is up to you.

Be whatever creature you want. Or be a human they are using as a test subject. It is entirely open. The only thing is that you are an experiment they intend to research.
——————————————————————————

Also, this one is still a work in progress. So I may add and change a few things with the background of this world. Otherwise I hope you enjoy ^^ thanks for stopping by.

Sebastian Kael and Dmitri Ledov.

Sebastian was at a table working on comparing DNA samples when his supervisor, Dr. Langley came up beside him with Dmitri Ledov in tow.

“Dr. Kael.” Langley said, his voice deep and gruff with a no nonsense attitude. Sebastian stepped back from the microscope and turned to face him. “Dr. Langely,” he replied, giving a curt nod. His eyes darted to look at Dmitri, they narrowed a fraction.

“What is this?” He said looking back at his supervisor. Voice dripping with suspicion.

“Dr. Ledov has been assigned as your partner in research. The CSO and I have agreed that you could use a second perspective to…Counter your extreme lab study methods.”

“So a babysitter.” He replied flatly. His accent thick from the surge of irritation. He did not like Dmitri Ledov in the slightest. He found his gentle bedside manner to be irritating and a hindrance to get real work and results done.

“Respectfully, I am not going to get any bloody work done with this- this overpaid, northern brute!” He gestured at Dmitri angrily.

Dmitri, in turn, did not like Sebastian, finding his obsessive tendencies to be problematic and dangerous. And his normally friendly expression was instead very carefully neutral. He had already expressed his grievances earlier, but the matter had already been decided.

Dr. Langley continued as if Sebastian had not said anything at all. “You two have also been assigned a rather…problematic subject.” He said looking down at his tablet. “ Subject X27. But together I’m sure you two can get results.” His tone left no room for argument.

“No, wait! absolutely not! Tell the CSO he can shove it up his-” Dr. Langley gave him a warning look. “Careful what you say Kael. You may be one of our best researchers, but you are Not irreplaceable.”

Dmitri barely contained the smirk that twitched his lips. Sebastian caught it and shot him a look. But when he turned back, their supervisor was already walking away.

Dmitri finally spoke, his voice deep with a Russian accent and something like amusement. “I look forward to working with you Dr. Kael.” But they both knew that was a lie.

“Oh shut up.” He snarled. “I will not let you interfere with my research, so keep your mouth shut and stay out of my way, or I’ll lock you in the observation cell with one of the subjects.” He huffed, turning back to the microscope.

Dmitri pulled up his own tablet already looking through the file they had been sent. “X27… ” he said, ignoring Sebastian’s warning entirely. “I think we should pay our little lab мышь a visit.” He said stepping closer to Sebastian who was trying and failing to focus on the DNA through the lens.

Sebastian could sense the proximity and with an angry huff, he straightened to look at him.

“Let’s get something straight Ledov, I run this, you are simply-“

Dmitri stepped forward, his shoes almost touching the toes of Sebastian’s, cutting off his words.

“We are equals in this research,” he said, his icy eyes somehow becoming colder.

“Do not mistake my polite demeanor for being doormat, Kael.” he rumbled. —————

meanwhile subject X27 was still in their cell. Four walls. One made of reinforced glass for observation with a console on the outside. The room felt too small. Too cold. Too much like a prison.

Word had already spread that they were now the subject under the two highest regarded researchers in the level 7 labs.

Most researchers that walked past the cell didn’t so much as look at them. Perhaps from fear. Perhaps indifference.

Regardless, X27 was untouchable to anyone else but the two men they were now assigned to.
