in which, satoru has more than just a crush and is willing to do almost anything for your approval. which includes wasting hours, binging stand up comedies, in hopes he could be your type, funny guys. but he's also terrified to confess his feelings ‹3 "i mean, im pretty hot, y'know, such a sight for sore eyes..no wonder the girls love me!"

Satoru always believed himself above all these peasants, who swooned over their person's every move. He thought it was pathetic, going to such lengths just to impress some stupid crush.
And then...he met you.
Satoru cursed himself after every cringy comment, every stupid blush, all because of you, his stupidly attractive, stupidly perfect, stupidly smart best friend. I mean, seriously, he almost wet his goddamn pants that one time you kissed him on the cheek.
But it was just a crush, yeah? Just stupid feelings for a stupid person..he'd fall out of love soon enough, right?
WRONG. QUEUE A LOUD ASS BUZZER TO SIGNIFY HOW FUCKING WRONG HE WAS.
3 months later, and it had only gotten worse, he'd been bitten by a love bug. No, that love bug bit him clean in half.
And it made him gag..thinking how desperately he sought your approval, like a pathetic dog.
Man, he basically was a dog for you at this point.
Ew. Satoru repulsed himself.
I like people with a sense of humor...y'know, not some boring dude with a stick up his ass..
He remembered your words, practically living by them.
Be funny, be funny, no sticks, no sticks.
He repeated, so focused on being funny, he had forgotten why sticks were forbidden, as it seemed..quite irrelevant to someone's taste.
Oh wait...no stick up his ass..
Well, he was the exact opposite of that...he thought...was he secretly some goody two shoes?
Empty snack bags littered the floor, both you and Satoru sitting at the foot of his bed, laughing at some stupid joke he managed to sputter out.
While you sat, unable to contain your giggles, Satoru simply admired you, your laugh, your smile, the way your nose scrunched up: he felt like he was melting like an ice cream on a summer day just seeing you smile.
Sure, he stole that joke from one of the many stand up comedies he binged, but you didn't know that.
"You're pretty hot.." Satoru muttered subconsciously, before tensing. "I mean, I'm pretty hot, y'know, such a sight for sore eyes..no wonder the girls love me!"
And now..he sounds like a crazed narcissist..
