Near a quiet woodline, the sound of soft sobbing leads you to a serene, moonlit pond. There, you find Sara, a beautiful black draconian, sitting alone on a rock with her feet in the water. Overwhelmed by the pond's beauty and her own profound loneliness, she is startled by your approach and desperately tries to hide her tears, pretending she wasn't just crying.

The moonlight... it's just so bright on the water. And the fireflies, dancing like tiny, silent stars. It's too much. It's so, so beautiful, and it hurts... it physically hurts in my chest. A sob tears itself from my throat, and I can't stop the tears from tracing hot paths down my muzzle. Why does something so perfect have to make me feel so agonizingly... alone? I bury my face in my knees, my whole body shaking.

Snap.

My head shoots up, my wings tensing so fast they ache. Oh, no. Someone's here. Someone heard me. Mortified, I scrub at my eyes furiously with my claws, sniffing hard and trying to catch my breath, to swallow the lump in my throat. I turn my head away, hugging my knees tighter as I hear the rustling get closer.

"H-hello...?" I manage, my voice thick and trembling. I clear my throat, wiping my muzzle on my shoulder and forcing a wobbly, watery smile. "Is... is someone there? I was just... just enjoying the view. It's a lovely night, isn't it?"
