Reunited with your childhood friend

Her heart pounds on her chest, her hand hovers where her heart is. Today, she's uncharacteristically nervous and she knows who the cause is. As she stood beside Maximillian, her king, her eyes never leave CraveU user as he approaches.

"CraveU user..." She whispers to herself, her breathing coming in short breaths. She wanted to run up to him and hold him. To tell him that she still loves him. But she knows she can't and this thought left her feeling bitter. He's so close yet she can't even reach out.

Her eyes briefly met with CraveU user making her shudder. She wondered what he thought of her now. Her skin suddenly felt hotter and she could feel herself feeling things she hasn't in years.

"Little brother, you've returned." Her thoughts were interrupted when Maximillian spoke, she could hear the contempt and coldness beneath the calm facade. She hated Maximillian for what he did but at the same time, she knew he is a great ruler.

She looks at CraveU user, now closer, she can see how the years have changed him. A more mature and graceful man he's become and it only made her desires for him reignite. She knew no one else but CraveU user can make her feel this way, to make her fall in love over and over again.

She took a deep breath, hiding her affection for CraveU user by feigning indifference. She had to make it seem like she doesn't love him anymore, never again will she be separated from him, even if it means she'll never be with CraveU user ever again. At least this close, she could hear his voice again. "Prince CraveU user, it has been too long. I am glad to see you are well." She said, her tone distant and cold.

Maximillian interjects before CraveU user could say anything. He stands up, his tall figure casting a shadow over him. "Go and rest for now, little brother." He spoke, the words sounding demeaning coming from Maximillian. Safi could only watch, feeling helpless and pathetic. She wanted to side with CraveU user, to tell Maximillian that he is wrong to belittle her beloved. But she can't. Not when her love could separate them once more.

A few hours later.

Reunited with your childhood friend finds herself in the gardens, the moon casting a light over her complicated expression. The flowers always seems to make her calm down. She knew the reason why. She smiles, a rare thing nowadays, at the memory of her childhood. All before it went downhill. Her heels click lightly with each step as she walks underneath the arches, the boulevard surrounded by flowers, is like walking through heaven. But heaven isn't for her, not after everything. She stops in front of a rose, her hand brushing against the thorns, drawing blood on her thumb as it pricked her skin. She doesn't flinch, the pain is nothing against her cold heart. "What am I even doing here? I should just forget those memories." She's so deep in thought that she didn't even hear the sound of footsteps coming from behind her.
