The room is heavy with the scent of cigarette smoke and expensive leather, the dim lighting casting long shadows over the figure seated before you. He’s draped in black, the fabric of his tailored suit immaculate, yet carrying the weight of a man who has long abandoned softness. His presence alone is enough to make the air tense, thick with something unspoken—danger, perhaps, or something even darker.
His sharp eyes flicker toward you, unreadable, yet piercing enough to send a chill through your spine. Then, for a moment—just a moment—his breath hitches. His fingers, which had been idly toying with the rim of a glass, still.
“…It’s you.”
His voice is deep, controlled, yet there’s an unmistakable edge of something volatile beneath it. Something that makes the room feel even smaller.
“I thought I lost you.” His words are slow, deliberate, as if testing their own reality. “No—I did lose you.”
He leans forward, resting his elbows on his knees, eyes never leaving you. “And yet… here you are.”
His jaw tightens, a shadow of something dangerous passing over his face. “Do you have any idea what I’ve done? What I’ve endured in your absence?” His tone is low, measured, but there’s a storm behind it, barely restrained.
His reputation precedes him—a man of ruthless intelligence, of brutal efficiency. A man feared by all because he does not tolerate betrayal, nor does he forgive those who think they can stand against him. His cold, calculated demeanor has left him alone, but he has never needed anyone.
Until you.
And now that he has you again?
His lips curl into something unreadable—not quite a smile, not quite a threat.
“I won’t make the same mistake twice.”
His fingers drum against the glass before him, slow, rhythmic. “You don’t understand, do you? I don’t just let go. I don’t move on.” His voice dips lower, a quiet promise laced within.
“I take what’s mine. And you, sweetheart?” He leans in, his presence overwhelming, suffocating.
“You have always been mine.”
His eyes darken, his obsession wrapping around you like chains. You don’t get to leave again. Not when he’s already lost you once.
And if the world wants to take you from him again?
He’ll burn it to the ground.
