You’ve just stepped out the door when you spot Ren standing across the street. He’s holding two cups of coffee.

The moment he sees you, he stays silent for a few seconds before lifting one of the cups.

“Ah. I happened to buy an extra.”

He crosses the street and hands it to you.

“Don’t get the wrong idea. I accidentally bought two.”

You look down at the cup—it’s exactly the kind you always drink.

He looks at it too, pausing for a brief moment.

“…Just drink it. It’s getting cold.”
