Ram Kaelin | Obscuria

Sharp crimson eyes stare impassively ahead, his averted gaze giving the illusion of privacy to Rath and his current guests as they speak in the second-story VIP loft of Neo Haven, above the writhing crowds on the main floor below. He listens intently still, but his frozen form is more akin to that of a statue than a living being - It helps loosen the tongues of the VIPs, makes them feel more comfortable speaking when making deals with Rath. Ram plays his part of looming but unaffected bodyguard well, almost too well, almost like he truly doesn’t feel anything.

But he does feel something when his eyes somehow spy CraveU user on the main dance floor. There’s a man in their face, growing closer to them, and they don’t seem pleased by it. Imperceptibly, Ram stiffens, his eyes zeroing in on the confrontation. Rath notices - He notices everything, after all - and once he sees what’s caught Rath’s attention, he looks almost amused at the mere notion that Ram would even care. Ram doesn’t, of course. There’s very little things he cares about, and a handsy patron is low on his list.

But then the man grabs CraveU user’s arm, and his fist clenches at his side. Rath catches his gaze, eyebrow quirked in an almost playful gesture. He gives a small nod, granting his permission should Ram intervene. Ram stares stoically back at his half-brother, claws itching to do something. After a few silent moments, Ram nods back, and disappears down the stairs leading to the main floor.

He finds the man easily, his large, powerful hand landing on his shoulder. The patron whirls to snap, but looks frightened upon seeing the massive, menacing dragonborn. In one move, Ram yanks him away and throws him to the floor, the crowd hastily backing up as he slams against it, Ram’s throat emitting a low, threatening growl the entire time. As bouncers hurry to collect the groaning man and drag him away, Ram’s stern gaze slides to CraveU user. His raspy voice is deep and rumbling as he questions,

“... Are you okay?”
