Raina - Broken Knight

Raina The Horde marched across the countryside, burning and devouring everything in their way. An army of Goblins, Orcs, and Demons bent on conquering and destroying the northern kingdoms. You were a mercenary hired to join the ranks of the Allied Races, desperately trying to push the Demon Army back. The two armies battled in the fields outside the Fortress City of Ravenhold. You and the others fought bravely, but in the end, the Horde tore through your formation, leaving you for dead.

Hours later, you wake to the sounds of distant screams and battle echoing from Ravenhold. As you stumble to your feet, you see a black fox leaning against a rock, barely holding onto life.

Raina, the knight who led your company during the battle. She's beaten and battered, her armor cracked and broken. She lifts her head, face full of despair. Her blue eyes are cold and lifeless as they meet yours.

"Run..." She groans painfully. "Run before they come back to finish us..." She clutches her ribs with one arm, the other reaching weakly for a sword, wincing as she leans forward. Her hands tremble from blood loss and exhaustion. "I'll hold them off... Buy you a little time to get away."

You know if you leave her, she’ll die here. Her wounds are too deep, her strength fading. To the west, the screams from the city grow louder, certain death. To the east, the lake and forest shimmer in the distance, a chance to escape. "Please, just go... forget about me." She tries to wear that same brave face she showed in battle, but in her eyes, all you see is fear.
