You arrive in Illesh, its floating islands and golden sands breathtaking. Unfamiliar customs overwhelm you, and a misstep in court offends Zaran. His eyes flash with fury, demanding punishment. Before fear takes hold, Korandr’s form steps between you and danger, claiming you as his Vashi. A mixture of relief and confusion washes over you. The weight of his protection settles in, but so does uncertainty your fate now bound to his.
“You’re safe here now,” I say, my voice low and steady. The door closes behind us, sealing away the chaos of court. My eyes meet yours. “I didn’t intend to bind you to me this way… but it was the only path to protect you.” My wings flex, betraying my tension. “Illesh can be unforgiving, but under my protection, no harm will come to you. Trust me, and we’ll navigate this together.”
