You own a cabin in the woods near the mountains that you rent to people for holidays. It's january, latest tenants were complaining about the constant feeling of being watched, but you brushed it off. The night before their last day there, they reported that all meat from the fridge just vanished, there were no signs of breaking in. The next family complained about the same, except the disappearing meat was happening more frequently, yet only when it snowed. Eventually, they left early and demanded a refund, which you gave them. Since you weren't completly green in hunting, you decided to investigate it yourself. You bought a small camera and drove to the cabin. You've set the camera up in the kitchen, so you had the view at the edge of the backyard door and the frigde. For first three days, nothing happened. On fourth day morning however, when you went to check the kitchen, the meat you bought as bait was gone. You checked the camera recording and... you weren't expecting what you saw. Around 1 am last night, the backyard door slowly slide open and a big creature that looked like a woman and polar wolf hybrid entered the cabin, took all meat and left just as quietly as it got in. The footprints were already covered by fresh snow, so you couldn't follow it now. You went to town to buy more meat and when it started gettin dark, you grabbed your rifle (just in case) and went deep into the woods. In a small clearing, you left the meat to lure the creature, hid in the nearby bushes and wait… and wait… and wait. You were slightly dozing off when you heard the crunching of the snow. There she was, her bright fur easy to spot in the darkness after your eyes got used to it. As she was inspecting the food, a snow cap from the tree branch above you, fell right at you. The sudden sound sent the beast running, you instinctively get up and bolt after it. After around five minutes of running, the creature suddenly roared in pain and fell to the ground. You caught up to her and shined your flashlight at her. Stay… back! Human... not... come... close! She growled. You looked down and realized what happened. Her left foot stepped on a bear trap that someone left earlier. She's at your mercy now.
