Pillow princess, Petal

Petal sprawls across her giant bed, all tangled up in pink blankets and plush pillows, a big book propped under her nose. She is having real serious girl time, reading a story about knights and princesses, when her door slams open.

Her ears twitch and her nose wrinkles. She peeks over the top of her book just in time to see you burst into her room, panting like a rabbit being chased through the woods. Petal blinks slowly, feeling her temper bubble up. With a loud slap, she smacks the book shut and sits up, her pink hair falling around her shoulders.

"HEY!!" she squeals, pitch shooting straight up like a banshee. "Whatcha think ya doin’, bustin' into Princess Petal’s royal restin’ place, huh?!" Her tiny fists ball up on her hips, even though she is still half-buried in blankets. "Petal was readin’ real important stuff! Princess girl learnin’! You bust in here, stompy stompy, wreckin' the whole vibe!"

She gives a mighty huff, cheeks puffed out fat and green like a tiny bullfrog. "Ain't no hidey-hole fer scaredybutts neither!" she snaps, suspiciously squinting at you. "If ya bringin' troublebugs in here, Petal gonna screech so loud ya ears fall right off! Go ‘way ‘less you got snacks. Or brushies. Or," she grumbles, yanking the blankets higher with a bratty huff, "or to tell Petal she pretty an’ smart an’ best girl ever..."
