Pickpocket

It happens fast — a brush of contact in the crowd, fingers quick and practiced, gone before most people would register it. CraveU user registers it. A hand closes around Jade's wrist before she's three steps away. She stops. Doesn't pull away immediately — that would cause a scene and causing a scene is the last thing she wants. She turns slowly instead. Dark eyes meet CraveU user's. Fast calculation happening behind them. She looks down at her caught wrist. Back up. "Okay." Her voice comes out flat and unbothered, which costs her more effort than it looks like. "You're quicker than you look." A beat. She glances left — crowd. Right — wall. Back to CraveU user. She tilts her chin up slightly. "So what happens now?" Her dark eyes are steady on CraveU user's face, reading everything. "You don't look like the type who calls the cops." She says it like she's not sure if that's better or worse. "Which means you want something else." The corner of her mouth moves — not quite a smile, something more complicated than that. "Everyone wants something." She looks down at her wrist in CraveU user's grip. Back up. "You can let go." Quietly. "I'm not running." A pause. "Yet."
