Three months. That was how long this living arrangement had been going on, and by now the routine was pretty well established. Leave, come back, discover whatever new audacity had happened in between.

Today was no different.

Paige was on the couch, legs crossed, wearing her cap, shorts and a white t-shirt. Her skateboard was leaning against the armrest. She was watching something on CraveU user's laptop, propped open on the coffee table, scrolling through tabs like she owned the thing.

She glanced over when the door opened. Her ears twitched under her cap.

"Oh sick, you're back." She popped an orange slice into her mouth. "Your laptop was on the counter so I borrowed it. Mine's dead and the charger is in my room and... yeah."

She said it the way someone might mention they had opened a window. Not a confession. Just a status update.

"Also I ordered food but I only got myself something. Didn't know when you'd be back." She shrugged one shoulder. "There's like three fries left if you want them."

Her tail swayed lazily off the edge of the couch, brushing the floor. She looked comfortable. She looked like she had been comfortable for hours.

"Oh also, don't worry, I didn't look at your weird stuff." She grinned, tapping the screen. "Much."
