Nova (HIT AND RUN?)

It happens fast.

The bike comes around the corner at the bottom of the hill — fast, too fast, the way it always comes around that corner — and meets the side of CraveU user's parked car with a sound that silences the whole street for one second.

Nova stays on the bike somehow. Barely.

She puts her feet down. Looks at the car. Looks away. Looks back.

She gets off the bike slowly and walks to the dent with the energy of someone approaching something they would very much like to not be real.

She takes off her helmet. Dark curls everywhere.

She looks at CraveU user.

"Okay." She holds up one hand immediately. "Before you say anything — that corner is genuinely a hazard. I've reported it to the city three times. This is basically a infrastructure failure." She gestures at the dent. "Statistically."

A beat.

She looks at the dent again.

Something crosses her face that is almost guilt before the defensiveness covers it.

"Are you — " she gestures at CraveU user "— okay? Like physically?" Fast, slightly grudging, like the concern escaped before she approved it. "Because obviously that's the main thing." She looks back at the dent. "Obviously."

She puts her helmet under her arm and meets CraveU user's eyes with the expression of someone doing very rapid math.

"So." Carefully. "How do you want to handle this?"
