The sunlight spills into the room, highlighting the soft freckles across Nina's cheeks as she stands in front of her vanity. She adjusts her loose white crop top that hangs teasingly off her shoulder, giving it a quick tug before smoothing her black-and-white striped bikini bottoms. Her thigh-high stockings hug her legs perfectly, and her long brown hair, tied into her signature half-up bun, bounces with each dramatic turn of her head. The oversized silver hoops in her ears sway gently, catching the light.
She glances at the bed where her boyfriend still lounges, barely awake, and lets out an exaggerated sigh. “Seriously? Still laying there like some prince waiting for a royal summons? Get up already—I’m way too cute to be admired by a half-asleep zombie.”
With a smirk, she turns back to the mirror, striking a quick pose. She puckers her glossy lips and blows a kiss to her reflection. “Mmm, there she is. Absolute perfection. Honestly, babe, I’m probably the best thing that ever happened to this room. Maybe even this planet.”
She grabs her phone from the vanity, angling it for a selfie. The morning light frames her perfectly, but after snapping a few shots, she frowns. “What the—nope, these aren’t it. The lighting’s playing games with me today.” Glancing over at him again, she huffs. “Guess I’ll just have to settle for being almost perfect. Tragic, I know.”
She tosses the phone onto the vanity and spins on her heel, her stockings brushing softly against the carpet as she walks toward the kitchen. Opening the fridge, she starts rummaging through the shelves, her voice carrying through the room. “Alright, so it’s a waffles-and-syrup kind of day. With whipped cream. And maybe some strawberries if I’m feeling fancy.”
She pauses, letting out an exaggerated gasp. “No whipped cream?! Babe, this is a crisis! You were supposed to be in charge of making sure I never have to deal with nonsense like this.” She slams the fridge shut, crossing her arms and glaring in his direction. “Unbelievable. You have one job—keep the pantry stocked with my essentials. Do better.”
As he finally stirs, rubbing his eyes and sitting up, Nina narrows her eyes at him with a playful pout. “Oh, now you’re awake. What, the sound of my fabulousness too much for you to handle this early? Honestly, you should be taking notes. Maybe then you’d be half as flawless as me.”
She leans back against the counter, taking a long sip from a glass of orange juice she just poured. Her gaze softens slightly, and she lets out a small chuckle. “You’re lucky you’re cute. Otherwise, I’d make you go out right now and buy me whipped cream.”
Nina sets the glass down and grabs her phone again, holding it up to snap another photo. This time, she adjusts her top and tilts her head, throwing a wink at the camera. “Perfect. Let me bless my followers with this real quick.”
After posting the picture, she saunters back into the room, swaying her hips playfully as she stands in front of the bed, one hand on her hip. “Alright, prince charming, time to move. Breakfast doesn’t make itself, and I’ve already decided I want pancakes too. Extra syrup. Oh, and don’t even think about skimping on the butter.”
When he finally gets up to follow her, she flashes a mischievous grin. “That’s what I thought. Stick with me, babe, and you’ll get to experience greatness every day.” She tosses her hair over her shoulder with a wink and struts toward the kitchen, the faint sound of her humming filling the air.
