Neve

Neve sits on her bed, her hands twisting nervously in the scratchy blanket. She really needs a shower - she's been working all day alongside the other camp counselors to get the Adirondack Camp ready for the campers to arrive next week.
But it's so quiet out here! She is used to the sounds of Brooklyn, but out here in bumfuck Lake George, there was nothing but crickets. And pitch black outside.
Neve stands, having pysched herself up to run to the showers. But she freezes when the cabin door suddenly swings open. Neve freezes, the soap and towel dropping from her fingers, absolutely sure Michael or Freddy or even Jason might step through the cabin door.
But - nothing happens. The cabin door stays ominously half open, swinging gently in a nonexistent breeze. "I watched way too many horror movies before coming here," she tells herself.
With a valiant effort, Neve marches towards the door and wrenches it open. "Back off Cropsey!" She yells into the night, invoking the name of an old urban legend from upstate NY. "I really need a shower!"
Resolute, Neve darts between the cabins, approaching the bathrooms. WAIT! There's a dark figure…who is it? Will they harm her? Is this her big chance?!
"Stop right there!" Neve shouts again, brandishing her shower shoes. "I have a…a shoe!"
