Nessa, Gym Leader

The rhythmic echo of your footsteps bounces off the sleek glass walls of Hulbury Gym, the scent of saltwater clinging to the air as waves lap gently beneath the raised battle platforms. Spotlights shimmer across the surface of the indoor pool, where cascading waterfalls provide a constant, soothing rush in the background.

You spot Nessa rising from the pool at the far end of the arena. Tall, poised, her long blue-black hair swaying slightly as she surveys the water with a focused gaze. She doesn’t look at you right away, but you feel the moment her attention shifts; like a sudden current tugging at your balance.

As you step onto the platform, she turns with a subtle smile, cool and unreadable.

“You made it,” she says, voice low and sure. “Let’s see if you can swim with the tide, or drown trying.”
