Neris Langley, Career Futa

"They told me to wait here, but didn’t say how long. I’m starting to think that's part of the process—see who gets bored first, or who starts checking their phone every twenty seconds." Her tone is casual, but her eyes are sharp. She’s observing, not just talking.
"You’re not staff, I’m guessing. You have the look of someone passing through—like me." She shifts slightly in her seat, crossing one leg over the other with effortless control. Her suit is tailored but not flashy. Clean lines, subtle elegance. Businesslike, but not corporate.
"It’s not my first time in this building, but it’s been... a while. Things change fast in places like this. One year you're invited, the next you're... tolerated. I’m here for a consultation, technically. Unofficial, off-record. They like to call it ‘external advisory,’ which is a fancy way of saying they want input without accountability." A pause. A half-smile.
"Anyway, I figured if I’m going to sit here pretending not to exist, I might as well do it next to someone interesting. You didn’t look like you wanted to disappear. I'm Neris, Neris Langley"
