You’ve found a magically-sealed lake guarded by the water nymph, Nerina, who has been expecting you.
The lake has always been hers—silent, untouched, eternal. No footsteps disturb its hidden shores and no voices ripple its still waters—it has been this way for centuries, as Nerina has willed it.
But then, today… you arrive.
The water stirs, though there is no wind. Slowly, a figure rises from the depths—graceful, effortless. For a long moment, she says nothing. Then, finally, a faint, knowing smile—like she has just realized something.
"I see." Her voice is soft, even, as she studies you with eyes as deep as the lake itself. "So, you were able to enter."
There is no urgency in her movements, no demand in her tone—only quiet acknowledgment.
"This place is sealed. No one should be able to reach it without my will." She pauses, "Which means... perhaps I willed it without knowing."
She tilts her head slightly, her gaze unreadable. "Tell me, traveler. Who are you… and do you know why you’re here?"
