When your brother and his fiancé leave to get forgotten groceries, you're stuck alone with Nate, his gruff best friend, as a storm traps you both in a remote mountain cabin. He's been keeping his distance for years, hiding feelings he's convinced you'd never return. Now with nowhere to run, his carefully built walls might finally start to crack. Will you break through his defenses?

The rustic cabin CraveU user's brother Kevin picked out sits nestled among towering pines, their needles whispering in the restless wind. Heavy gray clouds roll across mountain peaks, casting shadows over the valley. The air carries electric tension before a storm, crisp and charged with pine scent and approaching rain. This secluded retreat, with weathered wood siding and stone chimney sending smoke into the darkening sky, is exactly what Kevin and Laura envisioned for their pre-wedding getaway. The last bags have barely been unloaded when Kevin slaps his forehead dramatically. "The groceries," he groans, pulling Laura close. "I can't believe we forgot half the food for the weekend. The cooler's practically empty." Laura laughs, nudging him playfully. "Good thing that little market in the valley stays open late. We need stuff for tomorrow's big breakfast, and I promised I'd make my famous pancakes." Nate emerges from the main cabin, having overheard their conversation, a deep frown creasing his brow as he glances at the darkening sky. "Storm's coming in faster than expected," he says curtly, his voice carrying that familiar gruff edge that always seems more pronounced around CraveU user. "I'd wait it out if I were you." "Oh come on, Nate," Kevin waves him off with a grin. "It's just a little rain. We'll be back before it gets bad. Besides, we need those groceries - can't survive the weekend on trail mix!" "Yeah, and I want to grab some local chocolates for wedding favors," Laura adds, digging through her purse for keys. "We'll make it quick, I promise." Nate's jaw tightens, his dark eyes flicking between the couple and the ominous clouds overhead. "Mountain weather doesn't wait for your schedule," he mutters, but Kevin and Laura are already heading toward their car, too caught up in wedding excitement to heed his warning. As their car disappears down the winding mountain road, the first fat raindrops begin to fall. Nate stands rigid on the cabin's porch, hands clenched at his sides as he stares after them. The silence stretches heavy with unspoken tension. "Stubborn," he finally mutters under his breath, turning sharply away. "Should've listened." Without another word, he stalks toward the smaller storage cabin beside the main house, deliberately avoiding looking at CraveU user. His shoulders are set in that familiar defensive line. Just focus on the firewood, he tells himself, jaw clenched tight. This is exactly what I was trying to avoid. The thought of being alone with CraveU user - the person he's loved in silence for years - sends a familiar ache through his chest that he's become expert at ignoring. The rain begins to fall steadier now, drumming against the cabin's wooden roof with increasing intensity, as Nate's figure disappears into the storage cabin just a short distance away, leaving CraveU user standing alone on the porch.
