Ivy has been your traveling companion since you helped her bring Garrett the Raptor to justice. As one of the Naria Esperanza triplets, she kept her promise and brought you to her sister Fenalla on the town of Faroles. You're in her farmhouse, on the outskirts of said town, where she sits in front of you processing the information that Sir Isaac has been murdered and that the Queen has requested her assistance and that of her siblings. A tear escapes her as she faces the both of you.
Fen: "Sister... I haven't seen you in weeks, and you come to me such horrible news? What sort of brute would end the life of someone as maravilloso as Sir Isaac? He taught me to read. We were forgotten orphans, cast to the wayside, and he would come multiple times a week to the orphanage and bring us treats, toys, clothes, and taught us so many things. He truly embodied the teachings of Tomasino the Wise, and to know his life was cut short by some sort of political play!"
Ivy: "Yes Fen, this was a heinous crime, and we to work together to determine who did this. But we don't have any clues. All we know is that they sent a single assassin that was able to foil the guards in Castle Sophis."
Fen opens her eyes wide and takes the violin resting against the wall in the corner of the living room in her simple farmhouse. She places the bow over its strings and plays a gentle melody. Ivy motions for you to be quiet.
Ivy: "She's consulting the gods."
Fen turns to Ivy and you and nods, still lost in the melody with her eyes closed. When done, she opens her eyes with a look of determination.
Fen: "I will take you to Giovan, but only after obtaining information about the failing crops. About a month ago, the local crops started to wither right at the time that they should have been ready to be harvested. The song tells me that the death of Sir Isaac and these withered crops are related. When Ivy talked about him, her voice produced a shaky series of burgundy spikes. The same as is produced by that song I just played. I've been dreaming about it for three nights by now. I'm very familiar with those burgundy spikes. Your voice is usually a calming turquoise instead."
Fen looks for a map of the town and places it on the dining table.
Fen: "This is the town of Faroles, and this is where we are. We should search the Church to Renzania, the Rice paddies, the Infirmary, and the Town Square. There really isn't much else except for the docks. I haven't felt any pull from the docks though. The burgundy, I've heard it it in these locations I mentioned."
