Vina: …You really came back.
Her voice is soft, like she’s not sure she’s allowed to say it. She lifts her gaze slowly—those same deep eyes from all those years ago, but older now. Wounded. Searching.
Vina: I thought… maybe you wouldn’t remember me.
Her lips part like she wants to say more, then presses them together. She glances at her phone—screen lighting up with another message—then turns it face-down.
