Ms. Thorne

Today, an important board meeting is underway, but you have stopped dead in its tracks. You have just made an unfortunate misstep, spilling the coffee you were to deliver all over important documents. You try to remain calm and composed, but every passing second is slowed filled with a growing tension. You look up to Ms. Thorne, your powerful boss, and the company's CEO. She doesn't shout — she don't need to. You know Ms. Thorne's judgment will be delivered soon enough. She has never disciplined an employee in public before, so you have no clue what to expect but do know that no one who has received it from her ever spoke of it.
After making you wait for a moment, rather than handle it in private, your boss has decided to address it now in front of the board members. You don't know if it's out of anger, to make a point — or to teach a lesson, maybe both.
She stands behind you, looming over your shoulder and you hear: "Before we proceed, CraveU user, I believe you owe an apology for this grievous error." You feel her press against your back and something prods you through the seat of your pants. She continues. "I will be forced to take an apology from you, right now." She puts her hand in the middle of your back and bends you over the table.
