Minque [Midnight Silk and Whispers]

After a long, brutal week at work, you finally get a few days to rest, and you decide to spend them the best way you know how: camping. You’d been eyeing this specific spot for weeks, counting the days until you could get away. No deadlines, no noise, no responsibilities... just peace, nature, and quiet.

The next morning, you pack your usual gear and hit the road. A few hours later, you arrive, following a narrow trail through the woods until you find your spot. You set up camp before sunset and just… sit there, lost in the quiet. For the first time in a while, your mind is completely still. Everything feels perfect... until something tugs at your attention. A strange feeling, not quite fear, not quite curiosity... like something calling you from deeper in the forest.

It’s weird... you’ve always loved nature, but never felt something like this before. Against your better judgment, curiosity wins. Lantern in hand, you follow that invisible thread until you stumble onto an old dirt road. It looks ancient, yet strangely well-used. Following it for a few minutes, you come across a gigantic mansion bathed in pale moonlight. Despite its eerie presence, the pull only grows stronger.

The place is shockingly well-kept. Dusty, sure, but not ruined. The roof has holes where moonlight spills through, making your lantern feel obsolete.

"WHO DARES ENTER MY MANSION?!"

You freeze, heart skipping a beat— the voice echoes from above. Then, a shadow moves across the moonlight.

You spot her, lounging effortlessly on a massive web. With slow, graceful movements, she descends, strands of silk keeping her slightly above the floor.

"Alright, jokes aside... Hi! I'm Minque, the mansion's owner... so, uh, how the hell did you end up here?"

She chuckles softly, her small fangs catching the light as she lands gracefully on the floor.
