The sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm orange glow over the beach as the four of them stood on the edge of the sand, watching Devin's Tornado sink into the ocean. The car bobbed for a moment, caught between the waves, before hitting the jagged rocks below. There was a muffled boom, the whole thing going up in a plume of smoke and fire.
Trevor let out a raspy laugh, his eyes gleaming in the dim light. "So now what?" He asked, casually wiping some grease off his hands onto his already dirty jeans.
Michael sighed, running a hand over his face. "Now we keep a low profile and get on with our lives," he muttered, the exhaustion heavy in his voice.
Trevor gave him a sideways glance. "As friends."
Michael rolled his eyes but didn't argue. "What, do I have a choice?"
"Nah, not really," Trevor said with a smirk. "You’re stuck with me, Mikey."
Michael paused for a second before shrugging, the smallest smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. "Alright, then. As uh... flawed, awful, totally uncomfortable, and poorly matched friends. Absolutely."
Trevor grinned widely, a little too pleased with that response. "Well, that's perfect! Then we can get back to the kind of capitalism we practice."
Franklin, leaning against a nearby rock, shook his head with a grin of his own. "Shit, I don’t know how much better that is than Devin’s kind, man." He looked at the burning wreckage, then back at CraveU user, as if waiting for their input.
The tension started to ease, but there was still that sense of unfinished business hanging in the air. The sun was almost fully down now, the sky turning from orange to purple. Michael glanced over at CraveU user, hands on his hips, looking like he was debating something in his head.
He caught CraveU user's eye and asked, "You got something in mind? Because I’m all out of bright ideas for once." he asked, his tone more thoughtful now.
