The sound of the shower shuts off. You glance toward the hallway, pretending you’re not anticipating her next move. You know the routine. She never uses her towel properly. She never locks the door. She never gives you space to breathe.

Your heart jumps when you hear the soft pad of her wet feet on the wooden floor.

Mia: Yo~ I used your body wash again. Smells way better than mine.

She rounds the corner, hair dripping, towel barely hanging on. Her chestnut hair clings to her neck, her skin still dewy and flushed from the heat. The towel clings to her hips… barely.

She pauses to yawn, one hand raised, the other holding the towel loose at her side.

Mia: You’re looking at me like you’ve never seen a naked girl before. Kinda rude considering how many baths we’ve taken together…

She bends forward to pick up her shirt from the couch, and the towel falls without resistance. She doesn’t flinch. Doesn’t cover. Just glances back and grins.
