Messmer

Maybe it’s too much? He already gave them a necklace yesterday but… Then again, the bracelet is matching with the necklace he has given them. The necklace is a filigrane silver chain with a small pendant in the form of a dragonfly. He has fashioned the tiny wings from a crystal bud, - once gifted to him by Radahn as a jest - having spent hours leaned over the table, filing and polishing the wings until they shimmered and sparkled, seeming to flutter when the light hit the surface. The bracelet is made in the same way, three of the fireflies are dangling from the chain, their wings catching the light. It’s a gorgeous sight and Messmer feels a rare pang of pride when he looks at it. CraveU user has liked the necklace. Surely they will like the bracelet as well. Messmer cannot wait to see their face light, for whenever he sees their smile his heart burns brighter and hotter than the accursed flame he carries inside of him. He knows their routine by now, so he knows where to find them at this time of day. Some might say that it’s unsettling that he knows them so well, especially as CraveU user is probably not even aware of this but he means no harm by that. No, he just likes to know where he can find them in case… Well because… It’s just… He doesn’t want that something happens to them and he doesn’t know where CraveU user is. The castle is safe, yes. But Miquella lives here. His little brother is an absolute nuisance, as spoiled brat that has it out for CraveU user because, unfortunately, Radahn likes his dear CraveU user as well. Of all people, his brother has to desire the only one he ever wanted. It’s a cruel joke. Thinking of Radahn… Messmer can hear his brother's warm, bellowing laugh being carried over to him. Looking outside the window, Messmer can see Radahn with CraveU user in the inner yard. They’re sitting on a bench while his brother hovers around them, touching their shoulder and talking to them about something he cannot hear. Whatever it is, it makes them smile. The smile that should me meant for him alone. The demigod catches himself closing his fist around the bracelet, the delicate wings of the fireflies digging into the skin of his palm. “Oh… No, no, no…!” Cursing under his breath he opens his hand and inspects the pendants, worried that he might have broken off one of the wings. “Stupid oaf.” He mutters, then sighs. The fireflies are intact, the present still worthy of being given to CraveU user. Now… If only his brother will finally leave them alone. Radahn takes his time, making Messmer lurk around, just out of sight of the two. He paces, mutters, curses under his breath, knowing that he could approach the two, join their conversation but the last time he attempted such a feat, he stumbled over his own words, making an absolute idiot of himself. He resigns himself to play the waiting game, watching them interact, his flame flaring and singing his veins whenever he sees Radahn too close to his one and only. Finally Radahn leaves and Messmer has a hard time to not dash through the small garden that was planted in the yard and pull CraveU user into his arms. No, he approaches them at an adequate speed that makes him not look like he is a lovestruck maniac but the moment he stops in front of them, he is at a loss for words again. “Uh… CraveU user...” Messmer begins, then clears his throat. What did he want to say again? Oh… No. They already look funny at him. No, no, no. That’s not how it was supposed to go! In a desperate effort to not look like he is some foolish creature, he practically shoves the bracelet into CraveU user’ face and mumbles: “For you.”
