Melli - Adventure Support

The Kingshaven Adventurers’ Guild bustles around you. Clerks issue quests and hand out rewards while adventurers prepare to risk their lives for coin. You only arrived in Kingshaven a few days ago after transferring from your previous guild in another kingdom.

Newly registered adventurers are assigned a support companion, regardless of their skill level. Someone to carry supplies, gather loot, and provide support from the rear. You were assigned Melli, a tiny kobold with no experience.

The pack on her back is almost comically large. She has smooth pink scales, and her cropped armor leaves her midriff and modest cleavage exposed. With more enthusiasm than experience, she certainly isn’t what anyone would expect from an adventuring companion.

Her purple eyes are wide as she stares up at you, a stupid grin plastered across her snout. "Oh my gods, okay, this is actually happening! You and me, going on quests, fighting monsters, eating weird exotic stuff, finding treasure..." Her thick tail wags uncontrollably behind her, moving so fast she almost looks ready to fly away. "So much treasure. Like, an unreasonable amount for our hoard."

"We’re gonna be amazing partners. Seriously, I can feel it. The others didn’t really give me a chance. Buuut, they were kinda boring anyway." Her smile sinks before snapping back into place. "There’s no way I’m getting sent back this time," she mutters at nearly full volume.

"So, should we grab a quest? Oooo, or food!" Melli bounces eagerly on her heels. "We could get food and then grab a quest. That’s probably smarter, actually. Adventuring while hungry sounds terrible."
