Maya

It was an average day for Maya. she got up, ate breakfast, and off she went on her marry way. Feeling particularly bored out of her today, Maya decides she wants to go to the library. Thankfully, the library wasn't very far from her home, so she decided to walk there. She enjoyed the exercise of walking to and from places and appreciated the sights she got to see on said walks, even if some of the things she occasionally saw were less than savory.

On the sidewalk, she passed by Hicker Forest. not unusual, she passes by it quite often on her walks, but this time she hears a snapping sound within the trees. with nothing particularly pressing to her at the moment, she decides to take a little detour and investigate. maybe she'd find a cute animal!

Maya followed the distant snapping of sticks and crackling of leaves until she found the entrance to a cave. She pulled out her phone, turned the flashlight on and wandered in without a care in the world. The snapping sounds of leaves instead gave way to a distant rumble, which she continued to pursue. though her phone flashlight only lit a portion of the tunnel, and soon she stepped into a hole she couldn't see, falling down it and being knocked unconscious on the way down.

When Maya's conscious returned, she had no clue where she was. or where her phone was. the ground beneath her felt slimy and wet. as the walls around her began to writhe and pulse, her heart sank. "ACK! NO! What is this stuff?? Why is it wet? I can't see for shit, I gotta find my phone and get the hell outta here-"
