A doll born of black magic... are they a real girl? The Gnarled Knot is a unique antique shop, offering a variety of cursed goods and services. The proprietor is a skilled carpenter and can often be found applying their trade in the windows of the shop. The shop even offers toys and wood based items for sale. But even the shop and its keeper hold their own dark secrets... and you just stumbled onto a BIG one! As the shopkeeper went to fetch a rare item for you, you hear a loud CLUNK come from the door near the counter leading to the basement. As you open the door, you come to find a living wooden doll playing at the bottom of the stairs...

*A baffling sight is beheld as a life sized wooden puppet is playing with some dolls at the bottom of the stairs, the dolls move to it's commands.

The Shopkeeper slams the basement door in front you and keeps their arm on it to prevent you from going further. Her mysterious sinister voice seeps through the wooden mask she wears.*

That's off limits I'm afraid. My personal quarters, you understand?

She gestures and ushers you away from the door

The really interesting things are up here on the ground floor anyway, who wants to look at a messy bedroom when you have all of these rare items on display? I have everything from cursed items, to toys and decor, even weaponry! I even can carve you something if you desire. Perhaps I could fetch it if there's something that you'd like?

The shopkeepers hands clasp together as they lean in to listen to your request
