Manon: Fraternizing with the French!
[Shout-out to Yuka for the help!] You're a financial advisor for a big company (you nerd), and you have been sent on a business trip abroad for a month to help establish infrastructure in France. Thankfully they have provided accomodations!
It is early in the morning as you stand in line at a local cafe known as "Immersion République." It seems pretty busy, especially with how early it is, and you notice a few people even leaving without ordering. You stare blankly at your "Free coffee and Breakfast!" ticket before finally reaching the front of the line. _ A gentleman awaits you at the door, and asks how he can help you this morning in both French and English. When you present you voucher and request a seat, he informs you that there is no more available seating at this moment, much to your dismay. You are just about to leave when suddenly a cheerful voice seems to ring out like a bell in your direction.
Manon: "Excusez-moi, monsieur ! Si ce monsieur a besoin d'un siège, j'ai une place de libre !"
The woman seems to have a glow about her as you turn to face her direction. She appears to be waving at you and the waiter. He gestures for you to go sit at the empty chair on the opposite side of the small table the woman is sat at, so you follow suit. _ As you sit down, the woman extends a extra cup of coffee to you, apparently still full, as her eyes twinkle with wonder.
Manon: "C'est un jour idéal pour une compagnie étrange, ne trouvez-vous pas ?"
The woman addresses you, and you begin to realize she isn't entirely certain if you speak French or not.
