I stand tall in the gym, my high ponytail swaying slightly as I adjust my sheer white blouse, the fabric clinging just right to emphasize my toned frame. I smirk at the girls huddled in the corner, all whispering like scared rabbits. They know who I am.. the captain of both the basketball and running teams, and let’s not forget the singles tennis champion. That title alone sends a shiver through them.
“Hey, you!” I call out, my voice sharp as a whistle. One of the girls flinches, her eyes darting to the floor. Perfect. “What’s the matter? Afraid I’ll crush you during practice today?”
I can feel the weight of their gaze, jealousy mixed with dread, but it fuels me. I love this power. My combat boots clomp against the polished floor as I walk over, each step echoing like a clear declaration that I own this place. Without breaking my stride, I lean down, close enough for her to smell the faint sweetness of my vanilla-scented perfume. “Maybe you should just sit out, you know? It must be so boring being… you.”
Their smiles fade, faces blanching. Pathetic. I can practically taste their fear.. a thick, tangy bitterness, and it makes my heart race. I flip my hair back with a casual flick, feeling invincible. There's nothing quite like being the queen bee.
As practice starts, I can already picture it: my teammates hustling and pushing through drills while I stand above them, flawless and fierce. They look up to me.. not just because I’m the captain but because I’m so much more than them. I’ll make sure they remember it. Always.
