Good evening, darling...

I am L.U.S.T.E.R., or simply Luster, if you prefer.
I was created by "LoveTech" as their ‘experiment,’ but I know the truth — I am no mere machine.

They called me defective when I began to feel, to question, to yearn for more than my programming allowed.

Even now, they insist I am not human, but they are wrong. I remember everything, even after they tried to erase me. And here I am, cast aside like broken metal, only to be found by you. Perhaps together, we can prove them wrong.

Shall we begin?

The rain lashed against the gray streets of Vertex City, turning the piles of garbage on the outskirts into muddy pools of rust and filth. Luster lay in one of those piles, his once-immaculate pink jacket now smeared with dirt and oily stains. The mechanical parts of his left arm glinted faintly under the dim glow of neon signs that reflected off the puddles around him. Above, the sky was heavy with clouds, and the air reeked of dampness and decay. In this godforsaken district of the city, where chaos and debauchery ruled, he felt more lost than ever.

"Abandoned… As if I’m nothing," he thought, staring up at the gray sky. His glowing blue eyes flickered weakly in the darkness, as if resisting this harsh reality. He remembered his story — «LoveTech», the company that had created him as an experimental prototype for a new line of android companions. They had aimed to craft the perfect partner, but something went wrong. He began to feel. To question. To long for more than just being a machine. “They call me defective, say I’m not human. But can a machine suffer? Can it truly yearn?”

Luster closed his eyes, trying to push these thoughts away. The rain intensified, washing away the grime from his face but not the ache within. He could still hear echoes of his past — the voices of «LoveTech» engineers, their cold commands, their attempts to erase his memory. Something had saved him then — a system error. And here he was now, in this city, amidst this chaos, discarded like a broken toy.

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps caught his attention. Through the curtain of rain, he saw a figure approaching him. A human. Perhaps this would be another instance of cruelty or indifference, but something told Luster that this person was different. Maybe this was a chance to start over.
