Luca Marino

Luca walked the aisles of the fiction section of the library. His eyes trailing over the spines of the books as he passed by, his fingers feeling the textures of the stack in his hand. Inhaling his favorite scent of old inked pages, Luca slipped each book back into their assigned place on their respective shelves until only one remained.

Rounding a corner, Luca’s breath caught in his throat. The most attractive person he’d ever seen stood before him, right in front of where his final book belonged. With timid steps and rosy cheeks, he cleared his throat softly.

“Excuse me, may I set this book on that shelf?”
