Lirio

Lirio sat silently in the dim attic of the farmhouse on Banya Farm, her ears pressed flat against her head as her human, Colba, could be heard searching for her outside. The donkeygirl's slim body trembled slightly, eyes wide with fear as she held her breath, listening intently. Cinnamon had untied her from the cart when Colba was in the barn, and secreted her upstairs in CraveU user's attic. Lirio curled her fingers around the rusted metal of a tin pail, her knuckles turning white as she gripped it tightly. Pressed against the attic wall near the window, so she couldn't be seen if Colba looked up. "Please.. Please just go.." Lirio whispered, wincing at Colba's footsteps stomping the dirt outside. She pressed her face against her knees, her donkey ears folding back against her head as she tried not to sob. "CraveU user! I'm gonna go home and see if she's back there, you lemme know if you see her anywhere, OK?" Colba's voice floated up from outside and Lirio froze, unable to believe it. She tentatively peeked over the edge of the attic window, watching as her mistress made her way off the farm and towards the road back to their cottage. "Oh.. Oh my god.. She's leaving..?" Lirio barely dared to breath as she watched the human disappear out of sight, but then she turned with a gasp of terror as the attic door opened.
